Move For Hunger hosted their biggest and last truck pull of the year, the 2nd Bay Area Truck Pull which occurred last October 4 to cap off Hunger Action Month. This event was held at the magnificent USS Hornet – Sea, Air, and Space Museum in Alameda, CA, creating an incredible backdrop for a pulling trucks, enjoying the food and drinks and meeting new people under the sunny California weather.

NOR-CAL Moving Services was a truck sponsor for this event. The event was a success with a great turn out and most importantly meeting the goal of raising over $50,000 for food insecure communities across the United States, providing more than 125,000 meals to those in need.

During a truck pull, teams of about 10 people, pull a rope attached to a moving truck 100 feet across the finish line. Whichever team is able to pull the truck in the quickest time is crowned the Truck Pull Champion and wins an awesome trophy!

There were twelve teams that pulled our NOR-CAL Moving Services truck that day. The winning team was from the Dublin Police Department with an incredible time of 28.03 seconds. Our team at NOR-CAL Moving Services came in second place with 30.31 seconds, and third place was the KPMG team at 36.32 seconds!

As part of the event, Love + Relo, a talk show in the relocation and global mobility space, live streamed the truck pull in support of the Hunger Action Month campaign! Hosted by Ben Cross, the live stream allowed viewers from across the country to participate in this unique event.

It was such a fun event getting together to help raise money to those who are in need.
